I will be starting the master in management program at EDHEC Business School , France starting September 2021. Can I apply for the gyan dhan scholarhsip ?

Yes, you can apply for the scholarship. The scholarship deadline is 31st August 2021.

I have offers of admission from the UK and USA for MSc Economics. The university does not require GRE and TOEFL scores. How can I go ahead with the application?

Secondly, if I select the UK for a scholarship and decide to go to the US will the scholarship be transferred if successful?

Hi @Siddhant_Khandelwal,

Please mention in your scholarship application that your university does not require GRE and TEOFL test scores. Your application will be evaluated accordingly.

As for the country and the college - if you get short-listed for the scholarship, your final country and college will be confirmed. You can mention the same then. However, no changes will be entertained after that.

Hi Vishakha, thanks for clarifying. However, there is not place to enter on the google form that GRE/TOFEL is not required. I have submitted my application without the scores. I believe the requirement can be clarified by the offer letter ?

Yes. If it is mentioned in the offer letter, it will be taken into consideration.

My query is that I am applying for jan 2022 intake and my application process will start from september 2021, and my IELTS exam is on september 2021. Am i eligible to fill the application form now, because the website like shiksha study abroad shows that the final deadline for Gyan Dhan Scholarship is 31st August 2021.

The scholarship amount is disbursed through NEFT. We will ask for the bank details and other information for the same.

Hi @Shoubhik_Anand,

Since you will start the application process from September 2021, you should apply for the scholarship next year.
The deadline is 31st August 2021 for the scholarship. So, you won’t be eligible this year.

My university which i completed my undergraduate is located far from my current place and there is no provision to prepare a letter by the recommender and send it to me to upload in the application portal. So I would like to know which other method do you allow to send the letter? Can the professor directly send the letter through his/her registered institute address to a email of Gyandhan and can it be approved?
If we are not planning to take loan, should we select the choice as ‘No’ for the application question ‘Is your loan application going on with GyanDhan?’
Also, if we select the choice, ‘Not Yet, will start now ! by clicking here’ option for the application question ‘Is your loan application going on with GyanDhan?’ and later we plan not to take loan from anywhere, would it affect the application anyway?

Hi @Shoubhik_Anand,

The scholarship is designed for students starting in the Fall session. So, you will have to apply for it after your first semester because you will be starting in January 2022. You will still be eligible for the scholarship.

Hi @anonymous10,

Please ask your recommender to write the letter on an official letter head and email the scanned letter to you, which then you can upload on the portal. Letter sent directly to us will not be considered.
If you are not taking the loan, select ‘No’.
If you plan on taking the education loan, the application must go through GyanDhan. But if you decide not to take the loan at all, then it won’t have any effect on your application whatsoever.

I have received an offer letter for a study place at a German University for masters program. The masters duration is of 1 year. Am I eligible to apply for the GyanDhan Scholarship??
