The UK government has opened applications for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2025, offering fully funded opportunities for students from developing Commonwealth countries (including India) to pursue a one-year Master’s degree in the UK.

Eligibility Criteria

Must be a citizen or refugee of an eligible Commonwealth country, and a permanent resident there

Hold at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or a 2:2 with a relevant Master’s)

Must not have studied/ worked in a high-income country for more than a year

Should demonstrate financial need

Be ready to start studies in the UK by September 2025

Application Process

Applications are submitted through participating UK universities, which shortlist candidates before final approval by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).
