How long does visa processing usually take after the VFS appointment?

I’ve been on the waitlist for VFS since the first week of January. I’ve heard that VFS will email us about available appointment slots, and we then choose one. Is this correct? Also, can I request my university to expedite my visa processing? In general, how long does it typically take to receive a visa after the VFS appointment?

Yes they email you with the available appointment slots, They’ll send an email when a slot opens up, and it’s usually first-come, first-served, so keep an eye on your inbox! Sometimes it can take a while, though.

Also, keep checking your spam folder too! Sometimes those emails end up there. As for speeding up the process, you can definitely talk to your university’s international student office. They might be able to write a supporting letter or something, but they can’t directly influence the visa processing time.
