ACT Launches Enhanced Digital Format Amid Declining Scores

The ACT (American College Testing), a key standardized test for college admissions in the U.S., has rolled out a new “enhanced” format starting this testing season. This move comes as ACT scores in 2023 dropped to a 30-year low.

Key Changes in the ACT 2025

Digital Availability: Like the SAT, students can now take the ACT online for a smoother and faster experience.

Shorter Sections: Test lengths have been reduced to help students stay focused and avoid fatigue.

Instant Results: Full section scores will be available almost immediately after completing each section.

Optional Science Test: The science section is no longer mandatory.

Flexibility: Both paper-based and online formats remain available.
