What kind of experiences are considered most relevant for a Sports Management MBA, especially if my background isn’t directly in sports?
For example, if I have strong leadership experience in a completely different field, how can I make that relevant to sports management and what can I mention to make my SOP strong to secure admission abroad?

Which University are you aiming for?
It’s a common concern for people who haven’t studied the particular subject during their undergrad. You don’t have to have worked for a sports team to get into a Sports Management program. Mostly the universities look for transferable skills – things like leadership, communication, marketing, finance, and strategic planning. Your leadership experience could be a huge asset, even if it’s from a different industry.
Absolutely agreeing with @narulaaaYash, think about managing a sports team , like managing a business. So, your experience in leading a team, managing budgets, developing strategies, or even resolving conflicts is directly applicable. The key is how you frame it well in your SOP.
