Will I be automatically considered for the New American University Scholarship (NAMU) when applying for a thesis-based MS in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University, or is a separate application required for the scholarship?
Hi,
You don’t need to apply for NAMU separately.
Arizona State University (ASU) offers the New American University (NAMU) Scholarship to a limited number of international first-year and transfer undergraduate students who demonstrate high academic achievement. The scholarship can help with college expenses and is merit-based, with awards up to $14,500.
To be considered for the NAMU Scholarship, students must:
- Be admitted to ASU
- Have a highly competitive GPA and test scores
- Be on an F-1 visa
- Submit all required application materials by the April 1 scholarship priority date
Students are automatically reviewed for the scholarship when they are admitted to ASU, and no separate application is required. Awards may be renewable for up to four years if students meet all criteria.
