Hey folks, I’m trying to figure out whether the University of Birmingham or Bristol University is better for an M.Sc in Computer Science. I also came across Engineering with Management at Bristol, which sounds interesting. How do these two compare? Also, any thoughts on Bristol University ranking for CS? I’d love to hear from people who know more!
Both are solid choices! Bristol has a strong research focus and is well-ranked for CS, plus the city itself is pretty cool. If you’re thinking about Engineering with Management, Bristol might give you a slight edge in flexibility.
Birmingham is great too, but Bristol has a bit more of a rep when it comes to tech and startups. If ranking matters to you, Bristol University ranking for CS is usually higher. But Birmingham has good industry connections too!
If you wanna work in the UK after, maybe check job placements? Bristol has a stronger presence in fintech and AI, while Birmingham has solid links with industry. Both are good, so it depends on what kind of vibe you’re looking for!
