When should one start searching for internships?
When do FAANG and other major companies begin posting summer intern positions and can you share your internship search experience as a UTD student?
Start looking for your internship by the end of your first semesters, also be lookout on faang career portal as for few internship they do open the Position around November ( for a fall candidate).
From the university end you are required to complete at least 15 credits before starting your internship, so your internship will start in summers.
From November till April constantly apply for internships.
in my case I started my applications in November as I was a fall candidate, and got my first offer for a internship in march mid and by the time April ended, I had 4 to 5 more offers with me from another company.
Internship was super chill, I was interning at Staples inc, got to see Boston, loved it.
