Hey everyone, I’m looking at applying for MS in Computer Science at SUNY Buffalo in New York. Does anyone know the acceptance rate for international students and what kind of SAT/ACT scores they usually look for? Also, any general advice on how competitive it is?
It’s a solid school for CS, but definitely competitive. The SUNY Buffalo acceptance rate for international students varies, but for MS in CS, it’s somewhere around 25-30% from what I’ve seen. They look for strong academics and test scores, so it’s best to aim high.
For undergrad, SAT/ACT is important, but for MS, it’s more about GRE and GPA. That being said, if you’re asking for a CS undergrad program, an SAT score of around 1300+ should keep you competitive. For ACT, something above 28 would be ideal.
