What SAT score do I need for scholarships as an Indian student?

Hey! I’m planning to apply for undergrad in the US and was wondering — what kind of SAT score would actually get you a scholarship as an Indian student? I know different unis have different policies, but is there like a ballpark score that increases your chances? Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through it!

Hey! Yeah, totally depends on the college, but in general, if you’re aiming for merit-based scholarships, try getting above 1450. That’s where many schools start considering you seriously for funding. Some even start around 1400, but the higher the better. Especially for private unis — they’re more generous with aid if your score stands out.

Adding to that — I had a 1520 and got a decent merit scholarship at a mid-tier private uni in the US. But don’t just bank on SAT. A lot of schools look at your full profile, so strong grades, extracurriculars, and your essays can really boost your chances even if your score’s in the 1400s.
