The UK has released its updated list of eligible global universities for the High Potential Individual (HPI) visa, covering degrees awarded between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026. The expanded list aims to attract more top graduates by adding institutions such as Boston University (USA), PSL University (France), Université Paris-Saclay, University of Zurich (Switzerland), and Yonsei University (South Korea). Meanwhile, KAIST, RWTH Aachen, and Penn State have been removed for this cycle.
What is the HPI Visa?
A UK immigration route that allows talented graduates from top-ranked global universities to live, work, or job-hunt in the UK without employer sponsorship.
Key Eligibility Requirements
- The degree must be from a university on the HPI list for your award year.
- Qualification must match a UK bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD (verified by Ecctis).
- Awarded within the last 5 years.
- English proficiency: CEFR B2.
- Proof of funds (approx. INR equivalent applicable during application).
The visa is valid for 2 years (or 3 years for PhD holders) and can serve as a pathway to other long-term UK routes, such as the Skilled Worker or Global Talent visa.
