Strathclyde or Aberdeen for MSc Advanced Chemical Eng? Can't decide 😵‍💫

Okay so i’ve been going through wayyy too many reviews and uni sites and reddit posts and now my brain’s fried :sob:

I got admits for MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering at University of Aberdeen and University of Strathclyde. both sound solid but idk which one is actually better in real life?? Anyone here studied chem eng in the UK or know peeps who have? Would love some help please.

I’m doing my undergrad in chemical engg currently and planning UK next year too :eyes:
From what I’ve heard Strathclyde’s got a bit more edge in engineering overall, they’ve got links with companies esp in energy n pharma, also their location (Glasgow) makes it easier to get internships or part-time stuff. Aberdeen is good too but kinda oil-focused and quieter city.

I had the same choice last year bro  Chose Strathclyde because of better course structure and more flexibility… also they offer career workshops nd industry collabs. Aberdeen is very research-based which is great if you wanna go PhD or work in upstream oil. Depends what you wanna do after. Placements aren’t guaranteed at either place though, UK masters is intense and short
