Hi @Samruddhi_Donde I’m not at WHU but I did look into it when I was shortlisting German unis, so I can share what I found. For WHU, they usually expect a strong academic record (your 7th sem grades will matter), good English test scores (TOEFL/IELTS), and in some programs GMAT/GRE can be an advantage. They’re also big on your motivation letter and extracurriculars, so definitely start drafting that early.
A lot of Indian students I spoke to said WHU is competitive but very doable if you plan ahead. Best step right now would be to go through their official site and note down exact requirements for your program, then work backward (test prep, SOP, docs, etc.).
Also, if you’re serious about WHU, start connecting with current students on LinkedIn. Most are pretty helpful and can tell you what really matters in the application. You can also check this guide on Studying in Germany, it gives a good overview of requirements, costs, and process.
hey @Samruddhi_Donde WHU is one of the top B-schools in Germany, so they’re pretty selective. First, check if you’re aiming for their Master in Management or MBA – the requirements differ. For MiM, they usually want a strong GPA, good GMAT/GRE score, solid internships, and strong extracurriculars/leadership. For MBA, work experience is key (usually 2+ years). English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) is also a must.
Since you’re in 7th sem right now, best thing is to focus on keeping your grades up, start prepping for GMAT/GRE early, and gather strong internships or projects. Also, WHU likes people who show initiative (volunteering, leadership, student clubs).
Check their official site for exact requirements: WHU Admissions – MiM
If you’re confused, try reaching out to WHU admissions directly – they’re usually responsive and happy to guide.
Hey hii @Samruddhi_Donde ,
If you want to study at WHU in Germany while in your 7th semester, first choose your program and check its requirements (degree, English, experience). Gather transcripts, CV, recommendation letters, and write a strong motivation letter. Note deadlines, prepare for interviews, research tuition and scholarships, and improve your English. Connect with WHU admissions and current students for guidance, and stay organized and proactive to maximize your chances.
Heyy. @Samruddhi_Donde WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is one of Germany’s top private business schools, very competitive, and known for programs in management, finance, and entrepreneurship. To get in, the first step is to decide which program you’re targeting:Bachelor in International Business Administration/Management or a master’s program (like MSc in Management, MSc in Finance, or MBA). For a bachelor’s, you’ll need strong high school grades, proof of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS), a motivation letter, and usually an admissions test plus an interview. For a master’s, WHU typically requires a solid undergraduate GPA, GMAT/GRE or WHU’s own admissions test, English test scores, motivation essays, and recommendation letters.
Since you’re already in your 7th semester, you’d likely be applying for a master’s program after finishing your bachelor’s. The best steps now are to keep your GPA strong, prepare for the GMAT/GRE (if required), start drafting a clear motivation letter (why WHU, why that program, and career goals), and line up professors/employers for recommendation letters. Also, check WHU’s official admissions page for program-specific requirements and deadlines, as most intakes have early and final application rounds.
