Should I take GMAT or GRE for MBA with legal background?

I’m a 27-year-old lawyer from New Delhi, India, working in Litigation and Dispute Resolution since 2021 at a Tier 2 law firm. While I have multiple internships, my resume lacks extracurricular activities. I secured an All India Rank 20 in the Company Secretary Course (Foundation Level) and passed Executive Part 1, though I’m unsure of its relevance.

I plan to pursue an MBA but am undecided between taking the GMAT or GRE, as I feel weak in quants. While I understand admissions committees don’t prefer one test over the other, I’m concerned that taking the GRE might disadvantage me given my background. I’d greatly value any advice on this.

Deciding between the GMAT and GRE can be tricky, especially with your background in law but if you feel that you are weak in quant then GRE might be a better option for you and its quant section is generally considered less intensive compared to the GMAT and focuses more on logic and reasoning rather than advanced math.
