Should I pursue B.Tech from abroad?

I’m from a middle-class family and currently in 12th grade at a dummy school. I recently took the JEE Main January attempt, but I don’t think I performed well. I’m also in a difficult position because I can’t get a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) and honestly, I’m not confident I can crack the JEE, even after giving it my best shot.

I’m now considering my options. Should I take admission in a Tier-2 private college? I’m worried about the financial burden this would place on my family.

To be honest, my preference is to study abroad, but taking such a huge financial gamble doesn’t seem worth it.

My qualifications are: 10th grade: 86%, 12th grade: results expected this February, JEE Main: unlikely to qualify.

What should I do?

Studying a bachelor’s degree abroad is expensive, and as someone from a middle-class family, it’s probably not the best option unless you’re confident you’ll see a good return on that investment later. It’s generally wiser to complete your B.Tech in India, build a strong profile, and then aim for scholarships to fund your master’s degree abroad.
