Okay so my dad teaches at my college and I’m applying for master’s… is it ok if I ask him to write me a letter of recommendation for university? or will that look like bias and mess things up 
hmm i’d avoid it tbh. like even if he’s super qualified, unis might think he’s being partial coz he’s your dad. better ask a prof who’s not related but still knows your work well. keep it clean, no doubts.
i thought of this too and my counselor said nope. even if ur dad’s a legit professor, it’s seen as a conflict of interest. they want objective views on u, not family ones. sucks ikr but better play safe
