New SEVP Guidelines for International Students | GyanDhan

The novel coronavirus has derailed Fall 2020 admissions. Students are clueless about how their abroad education dreams will be affected during this pandemic. Along with Fall 2020, even the current students are under duress concerning their student visa status. We had written a blog on MS in US Fall 2020 - What Your Future Holds Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic and had promised to keep our readers updated with the new happenings. As promised, we are presenting the newest information we found for international students studying in the US.

I am an F1 student who had withdrawn from winter term and came to India due to a family emergency I was not able to enroll for spring semester.

My SEVIS was terminated immediately following withdrawal, now I want to enroll back for Fall 2020 and I was issued a new I-20 as well. I was asked to pay SEVIS fee for the new I-20, my concern is that whether I have to apply for new F-1 visa, since it will be more than 5 months out of US. I still have an unexpired F1 visa though.

I am going back to the same University for same the course.

Please suggest what should I do regarding the situation.
