Messed up 11th but still dreaming of the US—do I have a shot?

So… my 11th grade was a disaster for a bunch of reasons  But I had a decent 10th score (9.8 CGPA) and I’m trying to make a solid comeback in 12th. Also planning to take the SAT soon. Just wondering—do US universities even consider me if 11th went bad? Also, how to prepare for SAT exams in a way that actually works?

Totally get what you’re feeling! I was in the same boat—11th wasn’t great for me either. But I heard US colleges look at the overall profile, not just one bad year. If your 12th and SAT go well, you’re still very much in the game!

Yeah, don’t stress too much about 11th. US universities usually ask for transcripts from 9th to 12th, but they focus more on upward trends. If you bounce back in 12th and write a strong personal essay, it really helps. I’m also figuring out how to prepare for SAT exams—lots of practice tests and using apps like Khan Academy is helping so far.
