Looking for friends going to Germany for Winter 2026 (WiSe 2026/27)! 🇩🇪

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:
I’m planning to go to Germany for my Master’s in Computer Science for the Winter 2026 intake (Aug – Nov 2026 arrival).
Currently working on my APS and university shortlisting.

I’d love to connect with others who are also going around the same time — would be great to share updates, tips, and maybe even plan travel or accommodation together!

If you’re also preparing for Germany Winter 2026, feel free to comment or DM me

Hey Likhith Reddy I am alos preparing for the Winter intake in 2026 for my MS, as i am still preparing for the IELTS exam. Could you please help me clear the IELTS exam with an 8.5 band?

And for the APS you have provided the Transcripts or final marksheet of every semester for the APS ? and anything else you have shared with them?

Hi @Likhith_Reddy_Peketi ,

That’s great to hear. I’m already in Germany (arrived in September 2025). I’d be happy to help you with preparations for the Winter 2026 intake. If you have any questions about documents, APS, university applications, or accommodation, feel free to post them here. I’ll share tips and guidance based on my experience here in Germany!

hey @Utkal_Das I’m actually not planning to go to Germany myself, so I’m not doing IELTS or APS right now. But from what my friends told me, aiming for an 8+ in IELTS mostly comes from practicing Cambridge tests and improving writing with sample answers. And for APS, they had to submit all semester-wise mark sheets, 10th/12th, and the degree certificate — basically the full academic set. So you can follow the same process. Even though I’m not applying, I can still help you with whatever general info you need!

If you want to choose a good German public university for Electronics and Communication Engineering, the first thing to check is whether the program is taught in English, because not all ECE courses are. Some strong options students usually prefer are TU Munich, RWTH Aachen, TU Berlin, TU Dresden, TU Hamburg, and Uni Stuttgart. These universities have good labs, strong research groups, and solid connections with companies like Bosch, Siemens, Infineon, and Continental. The best way to pick is to match the course modules with what you want to study—like VLSI, embedded systems, communication systems, or chip design. Also look at requirements like CGPA, IELTS, GRE, and whether they need APS. Germany is worth it if you want low fees and good research, but you need patience because the job market there is slower than the US. just choose a program where the curriculum matches your interest and the entry requirements fit your profile.

Hey @Likhith_Reddy_Peketi even I am planning to go for Masters during the same period. I have received my APS certificate and I’m currently shortlisting universities. Can you let me the know the universities you are looking to apply for?
