Hi everyone! I’d like to hear from those currently in Germany: Is studying and working there financially viable, even with the current economy?
Specifically, I’m interested in the job market for freshers, the ease of finding internships, and the reality of covering living expenses through part-time work, especially for students at Tier-2 universities. Is the overall financial risk worth it?
Studying in Germany is still financially doable, but costs have risen. Expect about €950–€1,200/month for living, and part-time jobs (20 hrs/week) pay around €12–€15/hr enough for basics, not big savings. Internships are easier with German skills; in Tier-2 cities, finding them may take longer. The job market for freshers is competitive, so having savings for at least a year and networking early is key. Overall, it’s worth it if you’re prepared and proactive.
