Is GMAT more important than GPA for top MBA schools?

Okay so I’ve been reading a lot abt mba stuff lately and I saw ppl talkin about this GMAT thing… like is that more important than ur college grades?? what if someone didn’t do well in their undergrad but scores super high on GMAT… do they still get selected? or no chance? just tryna understand how this works  been seeing gmat importance in almost every post and now I’m confused fr

Yeah gmat actually matters a lot for top mba schools. like it’s one of the first things they look at tbh. if ur gpa is low but u kill it in gmat, it can kinda balance things out

Depends tho. some schools r strict about academics. but a high gmat shows u got the brainpower. especially if ur undergrad marks were low cuz of stuff u can explain like health or switching fields or smth

I know someone who had below 3.0 gpa but got into a top bschool coz they got like 740 in gmat. so yeah, gmat importance is real :sob:

Facts. GMAT is like ur second chance. if u didn’t do great before, a solid score says “hey i can handle the pressure now” and schools like seeing that

But still gotta write strong essays n stuff. like gmat opens the door but ur story, goals, personality… that’s what gets u in fr

Yea they don’t just look at scores. gmat, work experience, personal background, recommendations… it’s the whole thing that matters. but high gmat def helps when ur gpa isn’t the best
