The Government of Ireland has opened applications for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2026, offering fully funded study opportunities for international students, including Indians. Applications open on January 29, 2026.
What does the scholarship offer?
Each year, 60 students are selected for this prestigious award. The scholarship covers:
- €10,000 stipend for one year (approx ₹9 lakh)
- 100% tuition fee waiver provided by the Irish host institution
- Applicable for one year of full-time study
Who can apply?
- Students from non-EU/EEA countries, including India
- Applicants with an offer (conditional or final) from an eligible Irish HEI
- Courses at NFQ Level 9 or 10 (Master’s, PG Diploma, PhD)
- Previous GOI-IES recipients are not eligible
Key dates
- Applications open: January 29, 2026
- Deadline: March 12, 2026 (5 pm Irish time)
- Results: Early June 2026
