Industrial-linked MS courses for electrical or oil & gas field?

Hi, I’m interested in doing a master’s abroad and looking for courses that are not just theory based. I want something where we can also get hands-on experience or work with companies. I’m mainly looking at electrical engineering courses USA, UK, or maybe Norway, and also interested in oil and gas-related fields. Are there any MS programs that are industry-linked or offer internships as part of the course?

Yes bro, there are quite a few options in the US where universities have tie-ups with industries. In electrical engineering courses USA, look for programs that offer co-op or internship options like Northeastern or University of Cincinnati. They have structured co-op programs where you work with companies in the middle of your course. For oil and gas, Texas A&M and Colorado School of Mines have strong industry links because of their location and research.

If you’re open to UK and Norway, check unis like Heriot-Watt (UK) and NTNU (Norway). Heriot-Watt has a solid connection with oil & gas companies and often brings in real projects. NTNU is big on renewable energy too, and their programs are practical. But yeah, compared to US, internships might not be built-in you have to apply separately. Still, worth looking into because the course content is very applied.
