Does a year gap after 12th affect my VISA acceptance?

I have a year gap after my 12th grade. But now I’m pursuing B.Pharm in a Tier 2 college in India. I wanna pursue masters in Canada, my concern is will the year gap, affect my admission or visa acceptance? And what can I do to improve my overall profile so as the year gap doesn’t cause a hindrance?
