Hey…Rajesh, how r u?
What would be a safe GRE score for Georgia Tech or Purdue…for MS in Chemical? Also few tips on SOP.

Hello Rajesh,
Hope you are doing well.
Just wanted to ask about my Changes of getting in Georgia Tech for MS in CS:
GRE : 328 (168 Q).
CGPA : 78% from JIIT Noida (Information Technology).
Work Ex : 3.5 Years till Fall 20.
Also could you tell some Gre centric universities as my CGPA is a bit on the lower side.

Would you recommend going for Electrical & Computer Engineering for someone who wants a Computer Science oriented job after graduation? (Probably a mix of Computer Science and Electronics with more role of CS in the job)

Hi Rajesh!

A few more here:

  1. What applications/websites/tools/consultations did you use to shortlist universities?
  2. Had you done any paper/research publications?
  3. Did you have any work experience prior to MS?
  4. In your opinion, which LoR is better or has more value? From College or Workplace?
  5. Got your GRE score… How much in Quant? Does GaTech look more at the Quant score? Cut-off for Quant (in your opinion)?
  6. Is it advisable to contact GaTech ECE dept professors regarding TA/GA/RA before applying? Did you do this?
  7. When did you apply for GaTech? (month and year). Is it better to apply early or no big difference between applying early and just before the deadline?
