The State University of Binghamton is also called as SUNY Binghamton or Binghamton University and it was established in 1946. It is a public research University and has established itself as a leading institution in the country. Greene’s’ Guide has named the University amongst “public ivy” universities.
The University has eight schools and colleges and offers interdisciplinary education. The Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science at Binghamton University–SUNY (Watson) attracts a lot of applicants. For more information https://www.gyandhan.com/schools/binghamton-university-suny
Is SUNY Binghamton good for an MBA?
If you go by ranking, it comes in the top 100 Business schools in the US. There are definitely better options available for an MBA depending on your profile. The university offers courses like Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management or you can also customize your course. It also boasts of 80 percent of its graduates getting placed within three months of graduation which I think is a good indicator. The job opportunities are also aplenty so you are covered on that front. They also have a career development center called the Fleishman Center. You can also join their career cluster to get in touch with the right people for professional opportunities. Job opportunities are one parameter though. Other parameters that you should explore are the cost of the program, scholarships or aid, living expenses, etc.
what are the admission requirements for the program? I am yet to give the GRE and IELTS and just need an idea if there is any cutoff or minimum score?
The minimum GPA required to get into the program is 3.0, but having a 3.2 or higher GPA would help. For the 2021 academic year, the GRE and GMAT requirement has been waived off but it is recommended that you submit the scores. Since you haven’t taken the test yet, aim more than 312 for the GRE, or if you are taking GMAT then score more than 600. The university has not provided any minimum score for the IELTS, but do aim for a 7.0 band score or higher.
