I’m planning to go abroad after school but idk which country makes the most sense long-term. I’ve been thinking about the US, Japan, China or South Korea. Like what’s actually worth it if I wanna study good + get a job after + maybe settle later??
Need honest thoughts.
Okay so here’s the thing-
US is probably the safest bet if you are thinking long term career + PR. Loads of unis, easier to get jobs (especially in tech, business, research), and you can work during/after studies on OPT or STEM OPT. It’s expensive but there’s also more scholarships + part-time work chances.
Japan and Korea are super cool culturally and amazing for STEM, AI, robotics etc., but language barrier is real. Like you can survive on English in universities but outside it is kind tough. Also job market for international grads is competitive unless you speak native-level Japanese/Korean.
China has cheap tuition, lots of scholarships, and growing tech sector but depends on your field.
If you are okay spending more but want stability + career growth, US still top choice in my opinion.
