Can I get into a master's in computer science if I didn’t do CS in college?

I was just wondering… is it even possible to do an MS in computer science in the US if i didn’t study computer science before?? Like my undergrad is Economics totally different. And also what if my marks are really low. Does that totally ruin my chances?

Hey no it doesn’t totally ruin your chances! I’ve seen ppl from history, psych, econ backgrounds get into msc computer science programs. But yeah it’s harder, esp if your gpa isn’t great. What helps is showing u have the skills now.. Like doing cs-related coursework online (edX, Coursera etc), getting some projects on GitHub, maybe internships or freelance gigs. also, some unis offer “bridge” or “foundation” semesters for non-CS folks, so you can catch up on core stuff like data structures and algorithms.
