Best Resources & Study Tips for SAT & ACT Prep

Hey everyone! I’m planning to take the SAT and ACT soon, and I want to make sure I prepare the right way. What are the best resources for studying? How much time should I spend on prep? Also, what’s the best study environment to stay focused? Do practice tests actually help, or are they just another task to check off? Would love to hear how you all prepared! Also, any tips on how to prepare for ACT test would be super helpful.

If you haven’t already, start with Khan Academy for the SAT and use official ACT resources for ACT prep. Both have great free practice questions and full-length tests. Also, books like the Princeton Review or Barron’s are solid. As for time, it depends—some people need a few months, others just a few weeks. I’d say at least 2-3 months with consistent practice is a safe bet.

100% agree on practice tests—they’re a game changer. But don’t just take them—review your mistakes carefully. That’s where the real improvement happens. Also, simulate real test conditions when you take them (same timing, minimal breaks). It helps you build stamina. I studied in a quiet library, but some people do better with background noise—try different environments and see what works.
