Hey everyone! I’m planning to study psychology in the US and wanted to know which are the top colleges for this major. Also, if anyone has insights on which psychology course is best in USA for undergrads, that would be super helpful. Appreciate any suggestions or personal experiences!
Hey! If you’re aiming for the top, Stanford, Harvard, and UCLA are some of the best for psychology. Their programs are super well-rounded and offer a lot of research opportunities even at the undergrad level. UCLA in particular has a huge psych department with tons of options to explore different branches like cognitive or clinical psych.
Adding to that — UC Berkeley also has a killer psych program. It’s pretty research-heavy, but if you’re into understanding the science-y side of human behavior, it’s awesome. I’ve got a cousin studying there and she loves how flexible the course structure is. Also, profs there are really involved in big-time research projects, which is great if you wanna go beyond just textbooks.
Totally agree with Berkeley and UCLA. Also, check out University of Michigan! It’s not always mentioned right at the top, but it’s super strong in psych and has a good mix of theory + hands-on stuff. They’ve got this intro course called “Introduction to Psychology as a Natural Science” that’s apparently really engaging. Might be worth checking which psychology course is best in USA based on what kind of psych you’re into—clinical, neuro, social, etc.
