I plan on going abroad for college but also don’t wanna burn my entire family’s savings. What are some of the best and cheap countries to study abroad? Like places where education is good + living costs won’t kill me?? any suggestions would help
Okay SAME i’ve been digging into this too
So far i found that Germany is amazing if you’re looking for cheap options, public universities they are literally free (only like 300 euros/sem admin fees) and degrees are solid. Plus, you can work part time and cover living costs. Also check Norway, no tuition even for intl students, but cost of living is kinda high.
Hello @maya_supernova ,
If you’re looking for affordable yet high-quality study abroad options, Germany is one of the best public universities are tuition-free (just €300/semester), and you can work part-time to manage living costs. Norway also offers free education, though living expenses are higher. Other great budget-friendly countries include France (low tuition + good scholarships), Poland and Hungary (low living costs), Czech Republic, and Italy, where public university fees are reasonable and scholarships are common. Focus on countries with low or no tuition, student-friendly cities, and part-time work options to keep things affordable. But in the end, it all depends on your course of study and your effort to adapt to each country’s culture.
Hi @maya_supernova & @rohan_voyager
I totally get what you’re thinking. Studying abroad is exciting, but it’s smart to think about finances early. The good news is, there are definitely countries where you can get a great education without putting a huge strain on your family.
Germany is one of the best options. Most public universities have little to no tuition fees, and living costs are reasonable if you avoid major cities.
The Netherlands is another solid choice. Tuition is a bit higher, around €6,000 to €15,000 per year, but the education is top-notch, with lots of English-taught programs and a very international atmosphere.
If you’re looking for something even more budget-friendly, check out the Czech Republic or France. Both have affordable public universities and a good quality of life. Just avoid the most expensive cities, and you’ll be fine.
Malaysia is also worth considering. It’s very affordable, English is widely spoken, and you can even study at branch campuses of UK or Australian universities.
Wherever you go, look into scholarships and part-time job options. They really help. And if you tell me what you want to study, I can help you narrow it down even more. You’ve got plenty of good options.
