What are the different scholarships and financial aid I can opt for ?I want to study in the USA?
Check with colleges that you are applying. There is information online about this. It depends a lot on the college you are applying to. You can also apply need blind which means you will pay a certain amount based on your financials and the college will cover the rest.
There are many scholarship programs available either from universities or from external bodies. I got 20% scholarship per term from my university. I didn’t apply anything but university gave me based on my profile . I would suggest you to apply to universities which provide either scholarship or has 90% rate of giving on campus jobs . In that way you could pay your fees . University of Hartford, UCONN do that ik.
As others mentioned, there are different types of scholarship programs available. I was in a research assistant program that cut down my tuition fee in half for one year, and then I got another scholarship from the Department of Education even though I was studying Engineering. So you will have to check with different departments, faculty, and programs.
Usually, the most authentic scholarships are mentioned during the university application/website itself. For some of the universities, a separate questionnaire/application is required, for some of them, they give based on your application.
The best financial aid is to go to a university where you easily get a TA/RA job role, in that case your tuition fee gets waived off, this is most common with public universities and not private universities.
For external scholarships, you can simply google for that.
Thanks
There are options for financial aid and scholarships however there are so many of us now in the system, planning for education abroad, and chances to get any scholarship are way too low.
Always plan to apply early, the chances of getting any scholarship are maximum. for most of the university you dont need to apply seperately for scholarship, it is awarded after the confirmation of admission.
