Are GMAT prep courses really worth it? 🤔

Hey folks, I’m thinking about education abroad and came across the GMAT. I see a lot of prep courses online, but are they actually worth it, or can I just study on my own? Would love to hear from people who’ve been through this!

If you’re disciplined and can stick to a study plan, self-study works fine. But prep courses help if you need structure or struggle with certain topics. Depends on your style!

I tried self-studying first but got stuck at a certain score. Ended up taking a course, and it helped boost my score faster. So yeah, depends on how much guidance you need.

I’ve heard mixed things. Some say it’s just marketing hype, while others swear by them. Maybe try free resources first and see if you actually need a course?

Also, depends on your target score. If you’re aiming for 700+, a structured prep course might save you time. If you just need an okay score, self-study is probably enough.

Yeah, and don’t forget, some courses give you access to better practice tests. Those can be super helpful for getting used to the exam format.
