APS Application Help: SPPU Duplicate Mark Sheets & Percentage Entry

Hi everyone, I have two quick doubts regarding APS.

  1. During my bachelor’s from Savitribai Phule Pune University, I lost my 1st year mark sheets and got duplicate ones from the university (with “Duplicate” stamped on them after FIR + affidavit process). Has anyone submitted duplicate-stamped mark sheets to APS? Did it cause any issues?

  2. In the APS form there’s only one field for bachelor’s percentage, but in SPPU we get separate mark sheets (with percentages) for each year, and only the final year percentage is printed on the degree certificate. For APS, should we enter just the final year percentage or calculate the overall?

Would be great if someone from SPPU could share their experience. Thank you!

hey @nikitathakur

  1. Duplicate mark sheets – Yes, people have submitted duplicates (with the “Duplicate” stamp) to APS and it’s generally fine, as long as they were issued officially by the university after FIR + affidavit. APS mainly cares about authenticity, so if it’s from the university, it shouldn’t be a problem. Just make sure you attach any supporting docs (like the affidavit/FIR receipt) if they ask later.

  2. Bachelor’s percentage in APS form – APS isn’t too strict on the exact number you write in that field. Most SPPU students put the overall aggregate percentage (all years combined) since that reflects the final degree performance. If you’re not sure how to calculate, check your consolidated transcript (if your college gave you one) or just average it out as per university rules. Don’t just put final year percentage unless APS guidelines specifically ask for it.

Best bet: If you’re still confused, you can mail APS Delhi directly (they do reply, though it takes a bit of time). But from past cases, both duplicate mark sheets and aggregate % are accepted.

Hi @nikitathakur ,

I am from SPPU. I did not face such issues but i can tell you from my friends experience. Duplicate mark sheets with the official “Duplicate” stamp from SPPU are generally accepted by APS as long as they were issued properly with FIR + affidavit, so that should not be a problem. For the percentage field in the APS form, you should enter the final overall percentage/CGPA that appears on your degree certificate, not the year-wise marks. Many SPPU students have done the same without issues.

Submitting duplicate mark sheets with “Duplicate” stamped on them is fine for APS as long as they were officially issued by Savitribai Phule Pune University after the FIR + affidavit process. Many students have submitted such mark sheets without any problem, since APS mainly checks authenticity through the university, not the “duplicate” label.

For the percentage field in the APS form, students from SPPU usually enter the overall percentage/CGPA rather than just the final year, even though the degree certificate shows only the final year percentage. APS expects the cumulative result of the entire program, so calculate the aggregate across all years and enter that. It’s also a good idea to attach a short clarification (like in your cover email or additional info section) mentioning how percentages are reported at SPPU.

Hey @palak_ranjan

Thank you so much for reaching out. Appericate your help.

1. Duplicate mark sheets : I do have the affidavit/FIR receipt so, I will just attach those along with the required documents.

2. Bachelor’s percentage in APS form : On the degree certificate only the last year’s division is mentioned, that’s why I got confused if I have to mentioned the last year’s percentage or combined, but for the safe side I’ll mentioned the combined aggregate percentage because anyway later on uni-assist will do the same.

I do have another query : I saw many YouTube videos that students are getting a call from the APS team regrading the DigiLocker access to verify the documents. I am unable to fetch any of documents because in my Aadhar card I have middle name, and in the academic documents, I don’t, so will it make my verification slower? Any suggestions what should I do in this situation?

I have already apply for the name change on my Aadhar card, but it takes 15-30 days.
