I’m a final-year CSE student at a tier-3 college with a strong GPA (8.58) and good GRE score. I’m interested in an MS in CS, but haven’t applied yet. Should I rush and apply to universities with deadlines in mid-February, or wait for the next fall intake, improve my GRE score, and aim for more competitive programs? I’m confused about what to do next.
You are still in your final year, so you have time. Don’t rush things out, since many good universities have already closed taking applications.
Figure out universities & their courses in which you really want to enroll. If possible and you want to then try to improve your GRE Score & then can apply for Spring intake.
Also if you do get a job do not reject the offer, this experience might come handy when applying for jobs here after Masters. And you can also delay your Masters further to Fall 2026 intake.
You are in a good stage to right now so take your time and aim for the best universities, which will boost your career.
Thank you !!
As you are in the finak year of your bachelors you can still apply for the universties which has low tuition fee. If you are aiming for the top universities you should wait for next intake. The fee should be higher for high grade universities. Keeping the current scenario in mind spending a lot for our masters is not a good idea according to me. If you got placed there in India its better to gain experience in India.
