Application for Masters with Backlogs

I have completed my bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Zoology from St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), in Bangalore.
I have 9 cleared backlogs, many of which are owing to medical issues leading to not being able to attend college sessions, or having missed the exam.
What impact will these have on applications and what can I do to compensate for this.

I will be writing IELTS later this week, and the countries I’m interested in are Germany, France, Australia and New Zealand.
