Internships are usually something you pursue outside the university with some company. For those LinkedIn, Indeed, and a university-provided platform (Handshake) are good places to search.
For research-related work, reach out to the professors doing research of your interest or teach subjects related to the research you want to do. They may need someone who has some solid knowledge about the field which is why Masters students are often preferred but probably in your second year, you can show some potential.
