Guys just wanna know if there’s any Indian govt scholarship if someone wants to study abroad later? Like in future after college maybe? I saw some people talking about it but idk how true that is or how to get it. Anyone applied for it?
It’s true, govt gives scholarships for abroad studies too not just in india. Biggest one is National Overseas Scholarship (NOS) for SC, ST, OBC, and minority students. They cover tuition fees + living cost + airfare and all. u need good marks (like 60%+ in UG), family income < 8 lakh, and only for certain courses (like master’s, PhD). also look up Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Fulbright-Nehru if you are aiming for USA. Just search “Indian government scholarship for studying abroad” on the education abroad forum, lots of students talk about it there.
National Overseas Scholarship (NOS):
Who: For students from specific marginalized communities (SC, certain nomadic tribes, etc.).
What: Covers tuition, living, travel, and other costs.
Level: Mostly Master’s and PhD.
Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships:
Who: Top Indian students aiming for a Master’s in the USA.
What: Comprehensive – tuition, living, insurance, flights.
