2nd Masters at 35 in Germany/Canada. What are the chances?

Hi. I am a Data analyst with 10 years of experience from India and planning to apply for 2nd masters in Data sciences/ Business analytics course. Prior to this done MBA in UK. What would be the chances of getting admission and visa approval in Canada and Germany based on my profile. Which country would be best suitable? I am 35. Does age has any factor? Thank you.

Hey @Nanda42 no worries

Honestly, your profile is quite strong.
10 years of experience as a Data Analyst + an MBA from the UK is a big plus.

Canada:
You have good chances for both admission and a visa, especially for Data Science / Business Analytics programs. Canada is used to people coming with work experience and even a second master’s. Age 35 is not an issue at all if your SOP clearly explains why you need this degree now (career upgrade, technical depth, leadership roles, etc.). PR options are also better in Canada.

Germany:
Germany is also possible, especially for Data Science / Analytics programs. and again, Age is not a big concern here either. But German public universities are more academic and technical, so your background must match well. Visa is usually fine if your study plan makes sense.

Second master’s?
Totally okay — just make sure you explain it properly. Since your MBA is more management-focused, moving into data/analytics is a logical upgrade, not a downgrade.

Focus on a clear SOP and career story
