Will a backlog which was cleared later on, negatively affect my applications for abroad?

I failed my first semester of BTech but successfully cleared it in my second attempt with good grades. Will this negatively impact my applications to top-tier MS or MBA programs in the US/UK/etc.?

Hey @Khurana.Atharv, there is no need to worry if the backlog has been cleared, it won’t negatively impact your applications if build a strong profile, you can highlight your extra-curriculars or specific work experience, and generally the admission committees look at how you have improved since the backlog and if there is a significant boost in your profile then there is no chance that your application will be affected negatively.
