Will a degree from non-NAAC accredited college from India affect the chances of admission for masters in the US?

by gautambagdi

I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology from a university that is not NAAC accredited. I plan to apply for master’s programs in neuroscience abroad, specifically in the US. Will the lack of NAAC accreditation be a significant obstacle to my admission chances?

NAAC accreditation is definitely recognized in India, but US universities might not be as familiar with it. They generally look at the overall reputation of your university and the quality of your academic record, regardless of NAAC.

Yeah, US universities are more concerned with things like your GPA, GRE scores, letters of recommendation, and your statement of purpose. Those are the key factors they’ll be evaluating. NAAC accreditation is less of a direct factor for them.
