I’ve been looking up how to get into Arizona State University for a Master’s program (thinking about engineering or something close). The website has wayyy too much info 
Can someone here explain how this works?? Like exams, GPA, when to apply etc?
I applied for MS Industrial Engineering at ASU last fall, here’s how it goes –
• GRE is optional now but a good score helps
• TOEFL/IELTS is a must if ur not from an English-speaking country
• Aim for at least 3.0 GPA in undergrad, more is better
• SOP + 2-3 LORs are important
• Apply by Jan for fall intake, earlier = better chances

I hope you get some clarity from this response. However, this is a major life decision, so my recommendation will be to still do your due diligence even if the information is overwhelming.
1. Academic Requirements
GPA: 3.0 GPA or more is preferable (around 7.5/10 in Indian grading).
Degree: A 4-year bachelor’s in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
Transcripts: Official transcripts must be submitted — if you’re still in final year, provisional or current transcripts are okay initially.
2. Exams
GRE: Optional but recommended with a target score of 300+ overall (Quant above 155 preferred for engineering).
English Proficiency Test (for international students): TOEFL: Minimum 80, IELTS: Minimum 6.5, I heard that Duolingo is also being accepted, but please verify.
3. When to Apply
Fall Semester (starts in August): Main intake. Priority deadline: Dec 15 – Jan 15. Final deadline: Often March 1 – April 1.
Spring Semester (starts in January): Less common for some programs. Final deadline: Around September 1 – October 1
Try to apply early for better chances at scholarships, TA/RA positions, and visa timelines.
4. What You’ll Need to Submit
Online Application via ASU’s Grad Portal
Application Fee: ~$115 (for international students)
Transcripts (scanned or official)
Statement of Purpose defining why this program, your goals, background, etc.
Resume/CV
