Trying to figure out between Arizona State University and SUNY Buffalo for Master’s in computer science. both seem good but very different. Can anyone share how they actually compare?
ASU is huge, like really huge lol. Tons of research going on, and they have solid AI and ML courses too. Plus, Tempe is warm all year, so if you’re not a fan of snow, that’s a bonus 
They’re also super industry-connected, especially with companies in Phoenix and California. Internship scene’s pretty solid.
Hey @NS3141 Both ASU and SUNY Buffalo are good for a CS master’s but they’re quite different. ASU has a big research network, flexible courses and strong industry links, especially with West Coast tech companies. The campus is lively, but living costs in Tempe/Phoenix can be a bit high. SUNY Buffalo is more affordable in both tuition and living, with strong research in AI, data science, and systems, but it’s colder and has fewer direct West Coast industry connections.

Buffalo is more chill tbh. Weather is kinda rough ngl (expect a snowstorm or five 
) but the CS dept is actually quite underrated. Very strong in systems, security, and networks. And it’s a SUNY school so fees are a bit lighter. But less tech exposure nearby compared to ASU. You’ll prob have to rely more on remote internships or move for jobs after.
