University of Otago Launches Scholarships Worth ⁓₹23 Lakh for Indian Students

The University of Otago, New Zealand, has announced new undergraduate scholarships for Indian students, offering amounts ranging from NZD $15,000 (approximately ₹7.76 lakh) to NZD $45,000 (approximately ₹23.4 lakh). Top achievers will also receive first-year residential college accommodation.

Indian students already account for 11% of New Zealand’s international enrolments, with a 34% surge in enrolments last year.
Otago itself recorded a 45% rise in Indian enrolments in 2024.
Graduates enjoy a 95% employment rate within six months, with an average annual salary of NZD $87,400 (approximately ₹45.44 lakh).
