How to get a paid internship in sophomore year with a 3.0 GPA

I am about to start my sophomore year, majoring in electrical engineering, and I am hoping to secure a paid internship for the summer next year. With a current GPA of 3.0, what are my chances of getting one?

Its a bit difficult task with that GPA. But some good projects on your resume could really land you with an paid internship. Also I don’t want to demean you but the market condition is a bit bad right now so even if you get a unpaid internship you should definitely join it and hope for a good fulltime later on.
