Actually I am planning to uk in intake feb-2026 is ok for shift some big news of uk like psw is 18 months so I am worried about loan re payment and also get worried about sponsership any one please tell me truth
Planning for the Feb 2026 intake is absolutely fine. Big news and policy changes keep coming, but they usually take time to implement and don’t affect everyone immediately. Also, don’t panic about the loan , GyanDhan has always been there for us. I took my own loan with their help, and they guided me throughout the process. They will definitely support you as well. Focus on your application and goals, and things will fall into place.
hi @dhruvi_1512
Yes, for UK Feb 2026 intake, the PSW (post-study work visa) is now 18 months, not 2 years anymore. This does make things a bit tighter, especially if you are planning to take a big education loan. Earlier, students had more time to settle, now you need to be more focused and proactive.
That said, UK is not a bad option, but it is not an easy one anymore. You can still get jobs, but you must start job hunting very early (during studies itself), do part-time work, internships, placements, and build skills fast. Sponsorship is possible, but it is not guaranteed and depends on your field, company, and performance. You should go to the UK only if:
-
Your university has good employability support
-
Your course is industry-oriented
-
Your loan amount is reasonable, not too high
If loan pressure is very high and you’re looking for longer job stability, then countries like Germany are safer. UK is more about quick outcomes with higher risk.
Hello @dhruvi_1512
Thankyou for your question and yes, the Post Study Work Visa have been reduced to 18 months, by the time you graduate and apply for the VISA. I can totally understand your worry about the loan repayment and sponsorship, though you have to be a bit practical on your approach. The times have changed a lot and is now very tricky to get the sponsored role.
For that, I could suggest you to consult with Gyan Dhan Loan and scholarships they offer. You can find more about them on their website that can help you to cover the costs. As far as the sponsorship part is concerned, I would suggest you to start your job searching from the beginning. Try to take the internships, part-time work and support from the University that could help you bring the transferable skills and finding the company that can see you as the potential for their sponsorship.
The process in itself is very tricky, though with the recent changes, things have become a bit difficult- so you have to keep that in mind. However, there have been possibilites as well, so it’s not like that its not possible to get sponsored job, it depends on your industry and experience and can be subjectional.
I hope this helps!
All the best wishes to you!
