Need help choosing between Newcastle and Swinburne for master's in Australia

by Amay_Reddy

Hi. I’ve applied for a Master’s in Information Technology at Newcastle University and a Master’s in Software Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology Australia. Kinda torn between the two right now

Also… is going to Australia for this even a good idea? Just wanna hear from people who’ve either applied, already studying, or have done some research.

Any help would mean a lot .

I’ve got a few friends at Swinburne and they seem pretty happy with the coursework and support system. It’s more tech-focused, while Newcastle is a bit more traditional in its approach. Depends on what you’re looking for honestly.

I applied to Swinburne too! Their curriculum for Software Engineering is pretty hands-on. I liked that they’ve got strong industry ties, especially around Melbourne. That’s kinda why I picked it.
