IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a popular test taken by the speakers of English as a second language willing to study or work in an English-speaking country. IELTS is jointly owned and managed by the British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment and IDP Education Australia. As a future international student, you will need to demonstrate that you can successfully complete a degree program taught in English. You will, therefore, need to take the IELTS and obtain a reasonable score to enroll in advanced degree programs such as a Masters or Ph.D.
