Thinking of applying to Indiana University, Bloomington for computer science. is it actually good? Like reputation-wise and job scene after graduation?
I was checking it out too… didn’t expect it to be that solid, but turns out their computer science program is kinda underrated. They’ve got decent research and the campus is big on tech meetups n stuff. Not MIT level obv, but people do get good internships.
I got a cousin who did computer science there, said the alumni network helps a lot. Recruiters do come, specially for internships. You just gotta hustle a bit more compared to places like UIUC or Georgia Tech. But it’s definitely not a bad option, especially if you vibe with a quieter town.
True that. Also saw some stuff on an education abroad forum that mentioned bloomington’s job fairs are pretty active. And the university’s pushing industry collabs lately. So if you’re the type who’s proactive, you’ll be fine tbh. It’s more about what you do than the name on the degree.
