First time flying abroad – what should I expect?

Hey everyone! I’m flying for the first time ever – and it’s an international flight to the UK for my higher studies :airplane_departure::books:. I’ve never even been on a domestic flight before, so I really don’t know what to expect. Is there a big difference between domestic and international travel? Also, I came across something called “international flight check in time”—what does that actually mean? Would love to hear from others who’ve been through this!

Omg same! My first flight ever was straight to Europe for uni. It felt overwhelming at first, but honestly, airports guide you through most things. Just follow the signs and announcements. International flights are usually a lot longer and you go through immigration and customs, unlike domestic ones.

Yeah, domestic flights are way simpler—no passport control, fewer formalities. For international flights, they recommend reaching the airport like 3 hours early. That’s what “international flight check in time” usually means. It’s because security and immigration can take time.
